Pray with patience

In summer the Upward Way website was redesigned. This was something I was trying to get done from the start of the year. However, it didn’t happen for three main reasons.

1. I wanted a believer to do the job.

2. The ones I felt comfortable with were swamped with work.

3. My budget was low

Fast forward to early August when I decided it was time to reach out to some other professionals as I wasn’t making any progress. I guess at this point you may wonder why I waited so long. My answer is simple. Though I had been praying and asking God for a solution all I heard was silence.

And so it was that with only a little effort on my part God connected me with the right individual. Not only did he complete the job quickly (in a matter of four days), but his fee was ridiculously low. I paid less than 10% of what I was expected to pay. I suppose the biggest surprise came when after completing the job he revealed to me he was a fellow believer.

By this experience I was reminded of the verse in Exodus 14:13 “...stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD...” We need only to be patient as we await God’s instructions to us.
